There was a time when the oil that was needed for your engine was stored in Glass bottles and was just a straight weight. Also if I remember correctly this was .25 or .30 a quart. Back then the rings would only last 20,000 to 30,000 miles and you would use to say fill up the oil and check the gas.

As far as diesel truck stops go, who fills up the diesel rig's? When pulling my fiver, I am usually at a Love's Or Travel Center of America filling up with the long haul trucks. More room for my 5TH wheel and truck.
