By secure, I am guessing you mean antitheft? If so, we've got a 3' bicycle cable that I loop through the handle on the generator and then around something substantial like a tree or one of the landing gear. Then padlock it up for the night.
When we are on the road, I usually hide it under a plastic tote in the bed of the truck so that it stays dry and invisible.
