I got suckered this last trip when Google took me onto a thruway in NY state. The sign said something like "Private cars only, no commercial trucks." I'm neither, so what do I do? I figured from the language that the restriction was regulatory (like "no trucks in left lane"), not physical, so we proceeded. Big mistake, low bridges.
But I learned my lesson that day that when I use a road trip planner to pre-load Google Maps, and Google Maps tells you halfway through the trip that it "found a faster route," always click the button that says HELL NO!
