Depends on how heavy your TT is and type hitch you have. I suspect you have a 2 1/2 with sleeve and with the sleeve in you hitch is probably rated to 1250 pounds with WD and 600 without. The 2 1/2 inch should be rated to 1900 with WD and 800 without or close to that. I know a lot 1 tons have just a 2-inch hitch and are only for 1250 pounds like my 2015 Ford F350 was. Since class IV hitch is rated to 1400 pounds tongue weight I ask Ford rep why and he said it wasn't the hitch but other concerns that limited the ratings. There should be a sticker on your hitch giving the ratings. My neighbors Ford has one that looks like this.

If your tongue weight is over 1250 make sure your WD hitch has 2 1/2 shank.
