The majority of CP4 pump problems that I have seen and heard of are from tuned trucks. There have been some stock ones go, but not near as many as tuned.

If you're worried there are kits to swap the CP4 to the older style CP3, I've also heard adding a lift pump can help.

I have a stock 2015 with the LML and have had no problems, but I'm 100% stock. And that's very hard for me to do. I had an '06 LBZ that was far from stock. But using mine for towing now changes priorities.
