There is, indeed, a booster, there is just no button for it:

The booster boosts signals arriving on specific ports, such as the rig antenna, and not on other specific ports, such as satellite or camp cable. To make this all work right, you have to make sure you don't have the wrong cable screwed into the wrong connector.
