I have been everywhere I wanted to be in an 8 hr radius around me. Most of it prior to owning an rv, a lot of dry camping fishing trips and hotel rooms. So, everything is a minimum of 10 hours away. I would rather leave after work and drive for 6 - 7 hours (because I am able), show up at wally world tired, sleep soundly for 6 to 7 hours and show up refreshed at campground and set up as early as possible to enjoy my day in the area. I also like to shop local for groceries and such. I sometimes think I should just move so everything is closer for a while
