I use mine about 50% of the time and like having them. I store them along with the handrail along the front wall in the garage area. I have two straps screwed into the wall, I put the handrail against the wall then the stairs on edge and secure both with the straps. In my unit this is where the washer/drier hookups are and it is also under the pantry cabinet that extends into the garage.
