I go "dumpster diving" at construction sites and get untreated lumber. It is dry and burns clean and is free. I havent had a campground complain or question it yet. I make sure there are no nails in the wood. Also check your local Home Depot. They have wood cutting and usually discard the scraps. I have gotten a couple trash cans full from them before.
