We take cut up pallets all the time. Most of the time fire wood is banned in certain locations because of insects that are in or just under the bark. Pallets are clean wood. We do it all the time although we haven't run into a campground that bans out of state wood. If they have fire wood restrictions, you could call them first. I have heard of some accepting lumber and pallet wood even if under fire wood restrictions..
