If you have been plugging into that same outlet for a couple years without any problems the question is what has changed? If nothing has changed with the RV, and you're using the same cord that is heavy enough, maybe it's just a simple fact that the outlet that is tripping is worn out/weakened, it happens. If you can't find anything else that seems to be the cause I'd try a new outlet. It sounds like it is a GFI since you said it is tripping the reset on the plug in. That also makes me think about the GFI rating. Probably a 15 or 20 amp. Doesn't matter if your breaker is 50 amp if you have a 20 amp GFI.
