What you have to look at is where the fender skirt is mounted. It may be mounted to the facia and that would make it sit “out” further than the piece that was mounted to the exterior side of the trailer. I see it on lots of different brands, and types of slides ( hydraulic, schwintek, electric, cable...etc).

If the SLIDE is sealed when retracted and the skirt edges line up, then I don’t see a problem.
