We typically stay at KOA's when we are traveling through. There are couple that we do visit every year because they are nice campgrounds:
Eureka Springs, AR KOA-Our favorite. Visit here twice a year over Mermorial and Labor Day weekends. The staff is great and it is a nicer older campground. The owners seen to make improvements ever winter. I highly recommend it.
Branson, Mo KOA-This is also a nice campground. Stayed here a couple times. Nice staff and campground is nice.
Hot Springs, AR KOA-Stayed here last year for a week. Nice campground and nice staff. Would recommend this place also.
Fort Smith, AR KOA-Stayed here one night last year on our way to Hot Springs, AR. Will not return. They put us up in trailer park. I figured it was a older park. Do not recommend.
