I have a 2016 tundra. 400hp. I dont even notice my 5000 pound trailer while towing. I know your truck is smaller and has about the same horsepower of an f150. That being said, I sometimes think a lighter, smaller trailer would be nice. Not just for the towing, but for parking and ease of use. I often camp with my ice fishing wheelhouse when i expect inclement weather, etc. There are advantages to a smaller, lighter trailer. And yes, a weight distribution hitch is necessary.
