Just for the record, I have a stock 2017 F250 KR CCSB and use 2.5" B&W 7 inch drop Tow & Stow Adjustable Ball Mount (model TS2049B) to level a travel trailer.

I agree with you, avoid using any silicone...

I agree with you, avoid using any silicone product at all cost and stick with polyurethane as much as you can. I used Chemlink M1 everywhere on my TT.
