For a temporary fix I made a piece of flashing...

For a temporary fix I made a piece of flashing out of metal duct tape, put it behind the fins and over the cut out. Water now drains as it should. Shouldn't have to do this in a "higher" end unit.

The drip tray is in there, but the water never makes it there because it falls behind the cut out. It seems it should be sealed somehow or flashed to divert water to the outside and into the drip...
