You can definitely account for about a 10% drop in mileage due to ethanol blended fuels. As for spark plugs I can't help, I've had a diesel since '05 & haven't found the spark plugs yet. LOL!

If by chance it is bad you can get a better quality from "Watts regulators" on line, in some models they're cheaper than the rv specific ones.
