There will be a circuit breaker for the water heater on the A/C breaker panel in your trailer. Your water heater element is probably fried, so to be safe make sure this breaker is in the "off"...

Yep. Having that "last chance" valve has saved my bacon more than once! It is amazing how often something blocks one of the tank valves from closing all the way, and a gush of liquid whooshes out...
