Thanks for the info. Looks like the mechanical part that trips the contact areas is damaged. I'll swing by a dealer tomorrow and get or order a new one.

Our Sprinter is a 2018 so I'm not sure what all changed from 2014. I wouldn't take ours down any logging roads per say but we do live on a minimally maintained gravel road...

Hi we have almost the exact same model but it's a 2018 and 29FWRL. Ours did not have a ladder from the factory. I'm pretty sure our dealer had your specific model on the lot with the ladder already...

Outside of normal winterizing I cover our unit year round because of oak trees over the top of it...
