Keystone 246RBS Bullet Travel Trailer

Has anyone bought one of these units yet. If so, what is your driving experience with it and tow vehicle used?

I own a 2010 278 RLS Bullett which would be very similar. It is easy to tow and handles very well. I do have a sway bar, but not sure if that was really needed. I pull it with a Lincoln Aviator with no problems. Hopes this helps.

Just had a shake down run with our bullet 278, pulled with Dodge Dakota with 355 gears and optional oversize tires. Made short run 20 miles at interstate speed and a few miles on blacktop roads, had No problem pulling or handling, do have sway bar installed. I think that it pulled on interstate road better than the coachmen 249qrs lite weight even if it is 1200 lbs heavier and 3 ft longer.

we just pick up our 278 RLS on may 7 th this year,towed it about 70 kms(about 42 miles )from the dealer . it weights 5020 lbs(by the keystone invoice and weight certificate). we tow with a 2007 ranger FX4 with 4 liter engine with 4.10 rear axle. it handled very nice and it was still loaded with full propane tanks,battery, and 3/4 full fresh water (about 310 lbs) . it is very tow able,hope this helps ..enjoy your new trailer :)

bought my 2010 bullet 294bhs in July. Have towed it several times and love it. Have a WD hitch and pull with an '05 dodge ram 1500. Trailer tows very well and follows through on sharp turns well. I like the added space between the TT axles really eliminates a lot of the front to back bumping up and down.

H i I tow with a f0rd 150 2008 No s bar or anything Never know it back there.Only thing the front of trailer cave in in the first 100 miles?

I have the Bullet 246RBS and tow it with a Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3 ltr. Plain Jane truck with nothing extra for towing. It tows the trailer with hardly any problems except for dragging the truck down on steeper hills. I have a WDH and one sway control bar. I have had one issue with sway and that was towing on interstate when the wind was hitting us in the side with 40 MPH gusts combined with big rigs blowing past us. Other than that one time, I have had no problems. The trailer tracks dead straight (unless of course you're being blasted by a strong wind in the side LOL). Our trailers weight is listed as 4660 lbs on the door sticker and weight certificate. The brochure weight was listed at around 4850 or so if I remember correctly. Hope you enjoyed your trip and realized how easy is to pull the Bullet...I use sway bars because I had them from my previous trailer, but don't really think needed for my 2011 Bullet. I pull it with a 06 Toyota Sequoia and can hardly it feel, as long as it is, is amazing how light it is.

I went back and forth between the 246 & 278 and ended up purchasing the 278 which is longer and weighs more. I pull it with a Ford Expedition and it seems like it pulls as easily as my old Coleman Popup...I think you will love the 246 and the ease of towing........

Hi Folks,

We are in the mist of buying a 2012 246rbs Bullet and want to know if anyone has has any problems with the TT, Axle issues or anything else I should be concerned with.
We will be towing it with a 2012 Tundra 5,7 V8 double cab, 2 wheel drive with tow pkg. 2 Adults & 3 dogs.
Any info would be much appreciated!!!!

We bought a 2013 246RBS in August and love it! Towing with a 2011 Ram 1500 crew cab with the 5.7l Hemi and factory tow/ brake control package. No issues yet!

i have had my 2011 246rbs just over 2yrs now and still very happy with her, i have to be careful pulling though, i tend to forget its back there if i get involved with using the phone or fooling around with radio or whatever. i pull with a ford E350 work van and that is very much overkill. hope your enjoying yours as much as i am mine. happy camping, Phil:)

Got my Bullet 248RKS in June, used it plenty over the summer, approx. 3000 miles towed with my 2012 F150 3.5L Ecoboost FX4.
No problems with truck or trailer! (knock on wood)
Very easy pull. I have load Equalizing hitch with friction type anti-sway bar. It's easy to forget the trailer's there. Getting about 12 MPG towing.
Really like the trailer too!
