Lifting a Fuzion 315

Hi, I'm new here, and not even a Keystone owner, yet. The wife and I have been looking for awhile at toyhaulers with garages in the 35' range. We have narrowed it down to the Cyclone 300c, Voltage, and our favorite is the Fuzion 315. Problem is my truck bed rails sit at about 58" or so. And a level Fuzion 315 is around 62"-63" tall. To get the desired 8" of clearence, I think I'm going to have to lift the trailer. Have any of you done this with a new Fuzion or Raptor? Any comments or concerns with doing it. The axles ride below the springs already, so it would have to be a sub frame lift. I know it's common to see rigs riding "nose high" but I know that's not the best thing to do.

Its tough to call until you get the trailer hooked up to the truck. How much is the truck going to drop once you get the pin weight in the bed? 2"? How much adjustment is left in the pin box to raise or lower that? Do you have a lift on your truck? If so it might be easier to take that out and go back to stock than it would be to raise the trailer.

The back of my Dodge 2500 4X4 sits about the same height, my 05 Copper Canyon does drop the bed about 1-1/2" which almost levels the truck, but the trailer is still nose up. drops about 4" from end of bed to back of the trailer.
Axles are also already under the springs, thought about using 2" lift blocks, but worried about the added strain on the springs.
Looks like I will be adding a 2" or 3" steel tube to the bottom of the frame and reattach the spring perches.

i would swap the bed of the truck out with a flatbed before all that. i guess it depends on what you want to do with your truck otherwise.

Yep took a look at your album, I would think this is the best and safest solution, I don't like the leverage the blocks put on the springs. Just need to find a shop that will do for a reasonable price, and do it right so the trailer doesn't go down the road sideways!

If you're looking at buying a "NEW" Fuzion and doing the mod, you might want to make sure EVERYTHING is in top working order before you start a mod like that. My bet would be that Keystone will discount any problem you have after the mod to "your voiding the warranty" and any repairs will be on your dime. Might want to try the trailer without mods for the first year, who knows, after you use it, you may find that you really don't need to lift it at all. Then, maybe you'll be even more convinced that modification is required. Either way, I'd proceed with some great caution during the warranty period.

No this is not a new Fuzion, it is for our new to us 2005 Copper Canyon, I am just worried that lift blocks will strain the springs. So lifting the spring perches sounds like the best plan.

Yeah, rhagfo, I saw that you were considering it on your copper canyon. My comment was directed more for the OP, Beerdude41867 who is looking at doing much the same thing on a new Fuzion...

I agree with you, lift blocks may not be a good idea, there's already enough potential for stress on the springs, tackling the perches may be a better option.

Yea, I think I would definitely wait till the warranty is up. I wonder with my current set up how high the front end would be riding out of level.

Mine was done first day of ownership, had it dropped off at a frame mfg here in my town. I hade a Sprinter TT before Raptor and lift on truck as well, did a lot of investigating to see what would be best and square tube was the winner, I think it was around 2K, I will double check, I have had zero problems and my RV dealer was impressed, the Raptor was there quite a few times for warranty work and still have 2 more years left on it!!!
