The lights will dim while the inverter fan runs, once it kicks off they brighten back up. What will correct this problem? This occurs while plugged into shore power. If several lights are on the fan kicks on and off every few minutes.

Having certain lights on and other 12v draws will cause the inverter fan to cycle on and off. This is normal but your lights should not dim when the fan is running.

Festus,
Do you think it could be the battery?

You stated that you were connected to shore power and that when the fan comes on the lights dim. If you are connected to shore power and think it may be your battery, just disconnect the battery and see if it still happens. If it does, then it's NOT the battery.

Try it and let us know,

Do you mean inverter or converter? If you did indeed mean inverter (as in a device that converts DC power to AC), they can draw a lot of current and that may be what's dragging down your 12VDC system voltage.

Sorry... Converter. I run a surge protector as well at the shore power connection.

Will try that.. Thanks for the suggestion.
