Battery boxes

Some friends were boondocking recently and were out hiking and upon return their batteries had been stolen. Has anyone seen anything out there in the market that can lock down the battery boxes? I know that if a thief really wants something they will get it but something is better than nothing.:confused:

Frankly, that is downright depressing! On a 5er the battery is usually in the forward locked compartment with the ubiquitous CH751 lock. One should probably change out these locks, for starters. Possibly a couple of padlocks through the cover holes on the battery box itself might slow thing down a bit.

If the thieves are that brazen I am surprised they didn't brake into the trailer too. Back 40 years ago when I was tent camping we didn't give a thought to leaving stuff in the tent when we were out -- guess those days are gone.
