How big of a generator do I need to run my A/C Only for short periods of time on my 292RKS with roof vented system while dry camping. The 5th wheel is a 30 amp system and the paper work says that the A/C uses 15 amp. I don't know enough about generators but will a 2000 watt work.

With our first trailer (31' Dutchment travel trailer) it was 30 amps, 13.5K BTU A/C unit. We purchased a champion 3500/4000 peak generator with a 30 amp camper plug already on it. Works flawlessly. Could run the a/c and all the light with no issue. About 300 bucks @ tractor supply. 2000 watts would probably work, but may be maxing out the generator. Good luck!

If it not super-hot our EU2000i will run the a/c, but it screams a little.
So we have two Honda's and then no problems at all & we get about 7 hours run time with the a/c on.

We also use the Champion 3500/4000 watt unit with the RV 30 amp plug on it and it also works great and starts with one pull. We also purchased the wheel kit which makes it easy to wheel it around and the cover for storage. It puts out about 30 amps on that RV plug so it will run the whole trailer as if you were plugged into shore power.

Ditto. But running the A/C on the low setting.

Still looking at buying the companion. Maybe next year as this years holidays hurt the bank account.
