First time snowbirds leaving central Wis. in mid January, considered about salt on roads. In the old days we would mist wd-40 over exposed parts of snowmobiles to limit salt damage.it would wash off well. Any thoughts pro or con to doing this to the frame and undercarriage to help prevent salt damage to our fifth wheel. FYI I know not to saturate bakes! What if anything do the rest of you good folks do? Thanks:)

When we tow from northern Michigan during the winter, as soon as we get to a place with a truck wash and no chance of salt on the roads, I put on a pair of old jeans, a sweatshirt and lay on the ground under the trailer until I run out of quarters. I'm not really interested in using the cold water rinse, the hot water with soap does just fine. I can rinse it (or it'll rinse itself) during the first tow in the rain.
