In the last 2 years I have had to replace the hot water thermostat 3 times. If I reset it it just blows again after it get hot..What could be the issue? I have a Suburban SW6De water heater. Could it be over heating and why?

Are you having to replace the 12 volt thermostat for the gas side or the 120 volt thermostat for the electric side? They are not the same. We had the 120 volt thermostat fail on our 2012 rig, and I found out later that there were defective 120 volt thermostats in the Suburban water heaters around the 2012 model year. I believe that all the bad ones had a red button on the reset part, and the replacement thermostats are gray in color. The 12 volt thermostats were not defective, and we still have the original 12 volt thermostat on ours.
