I would like to say thanks to Holiday World RV in Dallas and Keystone Alpine for stepping up to the plate and making the purchase of our new Alpine 3401RS a great experience.
From Ben, our very knowledgeable sales person to the very capable service department our experience was very pleasurable.

Best of luck to you.
Register the Dometic components for the 2 year warranty.
2410 dry hitch weight. Chevy 2500? OK.

Thanks for the tip on warranty.
The 2500 is a 2WD WT so with the Sumo springs it is "OK" but plan to look at a 3500 soon.

At the 2 year point they offered me extended warranties. We had lots of refrigerator problems so I took them up on it. If you have a 120 volt residential fridge, maybe not.
Yes I would go to a 1 ton asap. If you stay with Chevy you may want to go to a dually. My single rear wheel Ram has a payload a bit over 4,000, my similarly equipped Ford was 3200. Chevy was in between. Watch that yellow sticker inside the drivers door. Filling that big storage bay adds weight quick and you have already added washer and dryer. Throw the weight of the hitch on the truck and add a passenger and it gets up there.
I would go weigh the truck empty then weigh with the trailer before you add a lot of cargo. Give you a starting point. Then re-weigh when you add cargo to get your "travelling weight".

Good idea on the scales. And I know the people at Holiday World are glad to have their name mentioned!

Hopefully they cleaned house. This is the location where we bought ours and the service after sales was so bad we had to get Keystone involved to help us.

But it was better than Katy!
I called them last week about staples popping up under my roof membrane. Stacy the Receptionist said they would call me back.

From Ben, our very knowledgeable sales person to the very capable service department our experience was very pleasurable. I bought from Holiday world in Las Cruces NM, I also purchased 5 year extended warranty that has to be used with in 100 miles of Holiday world. My Dealer is 75 miles and they cant fix much of any thing I'm stuck with a slide they couldn't fix under warrenty. Its going in under ext warrent this month. Its a management problem here good luck.

Took the plunge today and traded my 2500HD for a 2016. Ram 3500HD, SRW, Laramie LB with Aisin transmission. Lucked out and found one with 20% off and was able to negotiate
Sprayed in bed liner and mopar fifth wheel adaptor for the under mount hitch.
Haven't towed yet but it is one nice truck.

Congrats! Those things are towing beasts. You'll love it.
Cummins wants their engine to work for a better break-in. I would drive it easy a couple hundred miles and hitch it up.
Check your brake controller selection on the driver information screen. You will want it set to "Heavy Electric" brakes.
If you get in big hills you might want to lock out 6th gear. The transmission may want to shift a bit too much with the 3.42 rear end. Most times I just put mine on cruise control and get after it. Sometimes forget to use "Tow/Haul". Use the exhaust brake on max to warm up the engine faster and when you tow.
Good move.
Hey...is I-35 north of Ft. Worth complete yet???

Not sure about I35 in Ft Worth. I have always avoided it if possible.
Looks like we have the same truck. Same features and color.
Thanks for the advice.

I'm making my annual trek to Tulsa in January for the Chili Bowl and would like to avoid the monster traffic jam I got in last year.

Good idea. I like to avoid the major cities when possible.
