Will be staying 1 night colusa casino cal on the way to Shore line red wood national park. Leaving Sequoia what would be the better roads or route Cal 99 or interstate 5 to Sacramento ?

If you are leaving Sequoia, I would follow 198 west through Visalia and Hanford to I-5. Stop for lunch at Harris Ranch Restaraunt and then take I-5 to Sac. If you are leaving via the north exit of Kings Canyon, then I would probably take SR-99. More traffic, but shorter.

I5 is a drone, but Harris Ranch is good!

Is SR-99 like a interstate and will it be suitable for my rig? I'm thinking I 5 It looks like SR 99 will be going through more cities with rural traffic.

If I had a choice, I would travel up I-5. 99 isn't an interstate highway like 5, but a state highway, with some sections being 2 lanes and not as wide lanes.

Agree with Chuckster, besides you don't want to miss the ribeye at Harris Ranch.

We seem to have another idea . Hwy 20 at williams off I 5 going to 101 is a scenic route on my Harley map. Will Hwy 20 be ok for my 51 foot rig?

I have driven a semi from Williams to Clear Lake. Don't know about Clear Lake to the coast.

I have driven a semi from Williams to Clear Lake. Don't know about Clear Lake to the coast. Thank you 20 is fine for RVing and many semi trucks, it can get a little crowded around lakeport.there are some pullovers but no rest areas. Cal will be a new experience for us. I just pulled the Rv through El paso today on I 10 going North . I didn't see one Rv going through El paso today. I googled my question and found this information about 20 lol.

My advice is be very carefull when going into sequio . My site was 69 foot. The road going into Poawasha camp is not for a big toy hauler. I squirreled in and back jack out. The parks are not friendly for any rig over 22 ft. I hope the OR state parks are bigger.
