We will be leaving McAllen TX Sat. 30th for CA for one month then heading home (NE ) and see how the new truck works out. We won't be on line most of the time, so don't think I'm being stuck-up not answering.

Larry & Lavonne,

Have a safe journey & enjoy your trip!

Depending on your travel route, be aware of the 'high wind warnings' (especially across the mountain passes) as you're heading west. It's been terrible here in NM for weeks... but you're in coastal TX and no doubt already know what *windy* is! ;)

If you're taking 277 to 90, to I-10 west and would like some suggestions for over-night stops, just send me a PM.

Happy trails,

Terri, the Chevy co-pilot [& DH Kevin] :)

Thanks for the heads up on the wind, the wind here has been really bad the last 6 weeks. We went up highways 277 & 90 two years ago, but this time we think that we will stay away from the MX border. There has been so much trouble west of here, we think that it will be safer to avoid it.
Thanks for your concerns. Larry & LaVonne
