So I trade my Cardinal dry 11,500 came with load G tires. New it had Kenda's and replaced them with Goodyear G-614's.

So this 2015 Mountaineer 356TBF, dry at like 13,300 with load E, pretty scary too me??? So what do the majority do here, run them awhile with their fingers crossed or just bite the bullet and get them the heck off !!!

At the same dealer I bought mine I looked at the tires on the Grand Design Solitide which I feel is a very well built camper and seems to be very good quality..... Load E tires on them too !!! Those g-614's didn't flex at all at 110psi, these load E's squat pretty good.

What was the max load rating stamped on the old tires and what is the max. load rating stamped on these new tires. I have seen and had e rated tires rated to carry 3200 max and as high as my f350 at 3740 max. See what the max wt. rating is , maybe it is as high as the other tires you had. Maybe less.

IMO if you're real careful with the LRE tires on the new trailer you may get a year or two out of them. That trailer hasn't got much of a cargo capacity for such a large trailer so the tires are already being highly taxed, especially if not at 80 psi all the time and kept under 65 MPH.

Because of the 6750# GAWR for your axles you have very few replacement options with 16" tires. There is the ST235/85R16E rated at 3640# at 80 psi or the ST235/85R16F rated at 3960# at 95 PSI. Then there are numerous LT235/85R16G tires either steel cased or polyester cased rated at 3750# at 110 psi.

You should ask Keystone for replacement recommendations. They may approve the ST options and not the LT options unless they have already offered them as options for your model. The bottom line is; will changing to tires not approved by the vehicle manufacturer void some of your basic warranty coverage?

Your camper probably has about 11k on the axles when fully loaded. My Alpine has similar numbers. The E tires you have are most likely rated at 352, so just over 14k. You have about 600 lbs to spare per tire from rating to actual load, only about 15%, but in theory it's sufficient. I had the same situation, ran the OE tires for a year then switched to the Carlisle F tires at 3920. They only need 95 psi, vs the Gs that need 110, which my wheels are not rated for.

Thanks to all..... I'm gonna call Keystone today and see what they say. I'm just used to looking at those G's standing tall and proud and these E's just look like they need help!

If the wheels will hold 110psi then I will go G-614's and if not I will search out the F's or possibly look for wheels that will hold 110psi. I trusted my Kenda tires on my other 5er for two years and they came off before any issues with still good tread but they were from the factory G's. Thanks again...

FYI, the F's stand tall too. Definitely a big difference from the E's. Your wheels are probably Sedel RV wheels, you can most likely find them on their website and look at the specs, a little easier than trying to look at the back of the wheel

I also replaced the Carlisle E 235 80 16 10 ply with a Hercules Power STR F 235 85 16 12 ply. Cheaper than the G's but way better than E's.
The Carlisle's cracked out on the inside sidewall in the first year.
