Non China tire

Is there a tire available that USA?
I have Powermax and one kept going down, I switched the tire with the spare, but I would like to replace them with a tire that has a higher speed rating.

Maxxis is made in Thailand. I think that is the best you can do.
I guess unless you go to a LT.

If you have16" wheels, I recommend the LT tire of your choice. I dumped my China bombs when I took delivery new and went with Firestone Transforce. So far so good. I have total faith in them and didnt have to break the bank to get them.
If 15" wheels, I recommend Maxxis load range E. Whatever you get, it is a good idea to have them balanced.

When you say tire is going down, do you mean it will not hold air. Replace the rubber valve stem. It likely came from China too. For afew bucks each replace all of them with heavy duty metal valve stems. They will not get rotten or split.

The tire that is losing pressure has nothing to do with the valve stem or the rim. It has lost pressure on the original rim and on the spare rim.But because there is no "detectable" leak the importer has refused to give any warranty.
I have has a\the importers preferred tire store verify that it is going down, but no dice. I can't wait to get rid of these rags. I have 15" wheels so from what I cna see I will have to go with the Maxxis.

If you have steel wheels, you may well have a defective tire that simply won't hold air. But, if you have the cast alloy wheels, there are a number of threads on this and other forums about defective castings that do leak air. When you say it didn't hold air on the spare wheel, it leads me to think they are steel wheels, but something else to double check.

You won't regret the Maxxis tires. Whether you get 8 ply or 10 ply depends on your load, but for the price difference, in this situation, bigger is probably better.

You had a tire store check to see if it was looseing air but, no dice. Sounds like you have or cannot rule out tire or wheel or valve stem being the problem. Getting new tires is good but, what if you still have a problem. I would think that while tire was inflated the tire store would have placed the whole wheel/tire under water and been able to see a leak. Good luck lets us know what happens to cure the problem.

Normally a tire service will spray a mix of liquid soap and water and the leak will show up. If it doesn't then they will put it in a tire tub. You can always put it in your bathtub.....as a last resort. :o

The wheels on the trailer are aluminum and the spare wheel is steel.
I ran across a similar situation many years ago when I was Service Manager of a Chrysler dealer. We had many tires going down with no detectable leaks after contacting Goodyear their engineer called it a "high pressure leak" caused by the plys in the sidewall. They sent me new tires and the problem went away. The valve stems are good, but they will be replaced with steel when I get new tires.
