Agreed. I have an 08 250 6.4l my first truck ever and my wife, kids and I absolutely love it. It just got better with this warranty news for parts and labor.

This is a great deal, almost too good to be true. In the mid 80's Ford came out with their "Lifetime Guarantee" on any parts installed in their garages. I suppose that got to be too costly as it only lasted a couple of years. Let's hope this warrantee on parts lasts longer than the last one

It's def an awesome deal so long as they keep it going. I work for Toyota on the Industrial side. We started this 2 years ago in hopes of selling more OEM parts than our aftermarket and drumming up more service work too. Ours however is we double the warranty (30 days to 90days,180days to 1yr, 1yr to 2yr) if it's installed by us and cover the labor too.

Still a Ford.....

Name calling won't help and doesn't improve or add anything to the thread. Hopefully, your comment was an attempt at humor rather than to demean the product.

Deleted. Sorry if I had my own opinion. Didn't mean to upset any other Ford owners.

I own Ford because 1. I like the product, 2. We have a great dealer, and 3. They survived without bailout money from the government. We just had a part replaced on our Windstar. Dealer recommended OEM for the warranty mentioned above. It was probably $100-150 more for the part over aftermarket. Not that I plan on using warranty, its nice to know we have it.

Ok, so before everyone gets hurt over this deal....I'm like Phil Robertson....I will tell you what I believe. That being said, I like what Chrysler and GM have to offer too. I just prefer Ford for the reasons I outlined above.....not my intent to start a brand war....drive what you want it's yours or your bankers money...I don't care. None of them are perfect...just to make the Ford haters feel good, my F350 diesel will go in this winter to have warranty fix an oil leak between the engine/transmission. It is so slight, that it doesn't leave a drip on my shop floor. I asked my service manager what he'd do as it's not bad, his response was to let them fix it....warranty covers it. I plan on keeping the truck for several years, so might as well repair it now so it doesn't become a bigger problem later.

Trent, do you know why Ford did not need the bailout?

I'm going to presume because their revenues exceeded their expenses. That's how business is supposed to work anyways! Enlighten me please if I'm mistaken.

No they got lucky. They restructured their debt just before the economic down turn. The others did not and the banks would not help them. It was all about timing. They also got a 6billion low interest loan from the Fed around that time for retooling their factories.
