Went out to the storage lot to look at the trailer. Couldn't find anything on the wheels for rating. Tires currently are Gladiators and are worn out and old. Pretty sure they are the originals so that makes them a full 5 years old. Tire size on the tire says 205/75R 15. Inflate cold to 50 psi. The brochure for the trailer says same size but the 15 is followed by the letter C (15C) I assume that C indicated the load range. Tire says 1875lbs. On the Maxxis tires, couldn't find anything about load range other than the same tire size...205/75R 15. Does anyone know if ordering the Maxxis of that size would be correct?

Thanks!!

Maxxis makes that tire in a C and a D load range
6 ply is c
8 ply is d

Amazon has the c online but a local dealer could probably get you d's if you want them

If the gladiators served you well you could get them again. simpletire.com has them in c and d range for much cheaper than the Maxxis. The also have the Maxxis d range for the same price as the amazon.com c range ones

LRDs require rims that can handle 65psi, so they likely won't be "the same price." Get the Maxxis LRCs unless you know you're exceeding 1820lb per wheel.

Not exceeding 1820 for sure. I think I'd like to spend a bit more and get the Maxxis over the Gladiators. Just unsure of whether to get C or D rating but feel like I'd prefer the D if possible.

thanks for the reply!

I think I'd feel better with the Maxxis from just all the reading I've done. Noted in my other post reply, if I can go with the D I think I'd feel better.

Thanks for the reply!
