Finally broke down and pitched the oem tires and put on a complete set of Maxxis M8008 ST tires. So far I like them but will post more in a few weeks after putting a few hundred miles on them.

Maxxis makes the best ST tire currently available on the market IMO.

That was one of the reason I bought that brand but never had a bit of trouble with the China bombs in 25K miles. thanks

Just made a 2500 mi trip on our new Maxxis. Kept them at 80psi never lost any air over ten days/nights at varying altitudes. Trailer handled better with the new, E rated tires along with the new trailair equalizers. Happy so far:)

+1 on the handling over China Bombs....even my wife noticed that the trailer handled better behind the truck and she usually doesn't notice anything. I now have good year marathons and can really tell the difference on my Fuzion 390. A lot less bounce so the sidewalls of the new tires are definitely much better.

Where are maxxis made I think they are made some where over seas Tiland or around that area are they not ? need to find a set of 10ply 15" My self found a set of bombs the dealer said He has great luck with them but the tire web said nothing good about them so Carlie now has a new tire 10/ply 15" out where it is made I have to find out...Hope they are made better than the old ones and will last a few years I had some bad ones on a 1999 5er heat is the cause of most tire blow outs most trailer tires are rated for 62.MPH so I drive the 62.MPH and have had better luck and less tire trouble I have a set of 16" rims but not the room for them under the trailer wish I did they are nice ones :D Bushman

Well, we have put 600 miles on the new Maxxis tires and have to say they are much more than expected. Smooth, quiet and the handling is better. So far very happy.
