Don't have the same model 5th but in our 08 Cougar 5th, the fuse for the front jacks is located in the wiring harness that goes to the jack switch. The fuse is about 12 inches or so from the back of the switch - enclosed in wiring harness coil wrap. Hope this helps but differences in both year and model may not be of any use.

Probably the same as my 2010 Cougar 327, hidden in the wiring loom. It is located in the pink wire. Mine takes a 15 AMP mini fuse. You can't raise the legs until they stop or you will blow it every time. After cranking it up and down by hand I finally located it. I now have modified my crank so I can use my drill.

In the picture provided in the reference my landing gear fuse is found in the battery compartment. It’s the pink wire.

Found the yellow wire with a fuse holder right behind the switch in the front storage compartment. Changed it, works like a charm again.

I blew my 30 amp fuse on our second outing and had to crank the jacks down by hand. Rather than having to keep spare fuses and replacing them each time I blew a fuse I converted the inline fuse to a circuit breaker. Now if it pops it's just a matter of resetting it and no fuses to worry about.

Do you have any info on what breaker that is? I want to make that same change in mine. Thanks

I don't think you need anything that fancy. A self resetting breaker would do the
trick. They are available at your local auto parts stores. They are available in different amp ratings. My 327RES has a 15 amp fuse for the landing gear.

I would advise everybody to pick up some 30 amp fuses at Advance Auto Parts or someplace....I went thru 6 this week trying to get my 5er level. Never had this trouble with my Crossroads Cruiser or Cougar.

I blew a couple of fuses too. Then the whole jack system failed. Took it in to the dealer, he said to be careful about raising it too far, it ruins the jack. Poor design in my opinion, seems it would be easy to build it so that it stops automatically when reaching max height. (We did people to the moon didn't we?) Aren't the slide outs built like that? They don't crap out just because they hit max extension!

I know this is late but here we go, I took the 30 amp fuse out of the holder for the landing gear and installed a circuit breaker in the same factory fuse holder. You can buy the circuit breakers at a auto parts store (note buy the one with the long prongs you can break off to fit your holder properly). Works well so far and I always carry a electrical kit with us for any future problems. The Circuit Breaker is a Bussmann Part #BP/UCB-30-RP Happy Campin
