We just purchased a 2006 3712TS Keystone Raptor and need the manual for the stereo they put in these rigs. I believe it is AM/FM/DVD & surround sound. We may even need to buy a new remote control. Can anyone help?

If you can give us the make and model number of your stereo, that would help. If it is a Jensen, you can try going to their website and try to find it from there.

Thanks Festus,

We pick it up Friday, so the information won't be available until then.

The previous owner did not turn in any of the manuals so I need info on how to operate the stereo as well as the generator. everything else should be pretty straightforward.

I'll check and give an update...

Thanks again!

P.S. I don't know what I was thinking . . . I have been on various forums for many years, and I know better than to post a question like this without all the information . . . Sort of like asking a complete stranger if they know what my driver's license number is! :-)

When you pick up your unit and have a chance to take a look at the make, model and other pertinent information on your stereo and generator, I would suggest you first go the the manufacturer's website and see if you can download the manual that corresponds to your stereo and generator. If you can't find anything via that route, feel free to ask our members for help.

Some of the web sites are a little difficult to find, just try to find the official site for suburban water heaters . . .

Figures, I just did another search on Suburban and found it by searching on "Suburban RV Water Heaters".

Okay, here is the skinny:

We picked up the 5er from the dealer Friday. I cannot believe this dealer.
They are a-w-e-s-o-m-e.

1. They replaced the am/fm stereo cd/dvd player, surround system with a brand new RCA unit - and it even included a sub-woofer (which the trailer did not have prior)

2. They replaced both of the entrance door latch/lock sets

3. Replaced the water heater anode

4. Replaced the bathroom faucet, it was dripping

5. Fixed loose radio antennea's

6. Replaced smoke detector

7. Replaced CO detector

8. Replaced several light bulbs

9. Unit was missing all the cranks and the awning rod, they replaced them.

And I forgot this one: (added 7-18-10)
10. They also replaced one of the LP tanks with a brand new one and filled both tanks!

The only thing I asked them to replace was the anode rod.
The only thing I asked them to fix was the loose antennea's.

I just cannot believe this dealership did all this without payment.
Please note: This is NOT a new trailer. It is a 2006 Keystone Raptor - no warranty!

Okay, enough bragging - I no longer need the manual & remote for the entertainment system.

Oh, the dealship is Kittsmiller RV in Mason, MI . . .

Generator is a Onan Marquis Gold 5500
Model # 5.5HGJAB-1038D Spec D
I'll be doing a search for the manual online shortly, but if anyone has a shortvut, I welcome it...

Thanks for your positive feedback about your dealer. Too bad he is so far away as he would certainly have my business if that is any indication about how he treats his customers. He gives new and renewed meaning to "customer service". Better hang on to this guy!

Festus2,

You got that right! Just before I left the dealsership, some guy was standing around and checking out my hookup and asked if I had everything under control. I said yes and that I wasn't new to 5er's. My sales woman, Melissa, walked up, and I gave her big kudos for the quality job they did in the service bay and how impressed I was. At that, she thanked me, and said, "Tell him, he needs to hear that!"

As it turned out, he was the owner, Mr. Kittsmiller and he was appreciative of my comments. Nice people and nice dealership. Oh, Mr. Kittsmiller thinks enough of his back room staff that his entire (6 or 7 bay) garage is air conditioned. Tell me that don't make a difference when it is 93 degrees outside! You know those guys will perform better when they are not blinded by their own sweat.

This is great to hear! 90% of dealerships need to practice this kind of customer service.

What is wrong with 100% of the dealerships providing their clients with customer service?
